DIESEL TECHNICIAN - FL, PA
Trucks & Parts, the largest reseller of refuse trucks in North America, is looking to add Diesel Technicians to our growing team. Trucks & Parts is a customer-focused organization that is seeking a highly motivated and success-driven Diesel Technician for our operations in Pennsylvania and Tampa.
Job Summary:
- Works on automatic and standard transmissions, all types of diesel engines, single and dual drive steering suspensions, and systems.
- Performs PMI’s, hydraulic and air brake adjustments and repairs, diagnoses drive trains.
- Works in all areas of electrical diagnostics and repairs, including but not limited to, complex and standard lighting systems.
- Diagnose and repair power beyond systems.
- Diagnose and repair multi-functioning hydraulic systems with electric and air functions.
- Operates the equipment in a safe manner & reports hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Director.
- Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
- Cleans & maintains an orderly work area.
- Assists other individuals when needed.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- CDL (Class B with air brakes). ASE certifications (T1-T7).
- Must have the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Welding and fabricating experience is a plus.
- Good communication skills relative to supervisor & other related departments.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, plus the physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead. Must have the ability to climb and work from a ladder.
- Ability to operate various shop tools.
- Must have own tools of the trade, a valid driver’s license & transportation.
- Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus vocational training or job-related course work.

Summary
Seeking a motivated, skilled heavy-duty truck and equipment Shop Service Technician to work at the Gresham, OR location; The job duties are predominately hydraulic, air and electrical work, with limited chassis related work.
Responsibilities
- Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
- Performs repairs, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and light body modification and up-fitting for vehicles and equipment
- Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Ability to interpret schematics and assembly drawings
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Good communication skills relative to supervisor & other related departments
- Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA
- Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

HEAVY-DUTY TECHNICIAN - AZ
Summary
We are looking to hire an experienced heavy truck and equipment technician to inspect, service, and repair a range of heavy-duty refuse equipment. As a shop technician, you will be responsible for inspecting trucks and equipment, carrying out services and conducting repairs in-house and on-site.
To ensure success as a refuse technician, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues. Ultimately, a top-notch heavy equipment mechanic can repair and service even the biggest machinery with expert care. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

- Good communication skills relative to supervisor & other related departments
- Assists senior Mechanics in the completion of project work
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Welding and fabricating experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, plus the physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead
